¿Mi aporte cuenta? - Does my contribution count?

¿Mi aporte cuenta? Cuando en el 2015 decidimos entrar en el modelo económico de una Iniciativa Municipal de Desarrollo Local (IMDL) el Proyecto el Circuito, confieso que siempre fue pensando que el proyecto además de contribuir al desarrollo local, nos permitiera contribuir a autofinanciar al Festival Internacional de videoarte de Camagüey, nuestro proyecto fundamental. Pero hoy mismo, nuevamente, estamos entregando a la ONAT municipal de Camagüey por concepto de Impuesto sobre utilidades la importante suma de: 395 245, 67 pesos, unos 15 809, 80 CUC. Hemos hecho todas las consultas pertinentes para poder usar, aunque sea parte de ese capital para los gastos del 8vo FIVAC y aun no hay solución posible. Entonces, aunque FIVAC es autofinanciado y necesitamos esos fondos, parece que solo nos queda conformarnos, y por qué no regocijarnos, con que esta ciudad conozca de nuestro aporte directo a su desarrollo.

 

Does my contribution count? When we decided to create The Circuit, based on the IMDL model (Spanish for Municipal Initiative for Local Development), I confess that our purpose was not only to contribute to our local development but also to make the project generate the funds to support the International Video Art Festival of Camagüey -our main event. Today, again, we are paying the ONAT (the National Tax Administration Office) 395 245. 67 pesos, equivalent to 15 809. 80 CUC worth of profit taxes. We have requested authorization to use part of that sum to cover the 8th FIVAC’s expenses but we have not received an answer yet.
